The total weight of our best selling resistance bands set is approximately 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs) without packaging (2.9kg with).
The resistance bar measures 42 inches (106 cm) and can be detached into two parts, each measuring 21 inches (53 cm). It has a diameter of 1,1 inches (3.3 cm) and weighs around 2,2 lbs.
The 7 elastic bands measure 47 inches and can stretch up to 4 times their initial size without damaging. -
SmartWorkout Elite is easily portable thanks to its lightweight design of 2,5 kg and its detachable bar that splits into two parts. This allows you to take it with you in a bag or suitcase measuring over 21 inches (53 cm) in length.
The set fits into a carry-on suitcase, but please be aware of air transportation regulations: the bar is not allowed as a carry-on item since it is considered hazardous.
THE BANDS

After conducting numerous tests, we can confidently assert that the risk of a SmartWorkout elastic band breaking, following our usage recommendations, is practically nonexistent. Our resistance bands are made of natural latex, a highly flexible and resilient material that does not tear over time.
However, there are a few simple rules to abide by, such as not stretching the band beyond four times its original length, securing the bands symmetrically, and avoiding use with sharp or rough surfaces. Don't worry, everything is explained in the user guide that you will receive with your order.
In the highly unlikely event of an elastic band breaking, its stretch will bring it downward: that is why we advise training while wearing shoes. The risk of injury is therefore very low, even in the event of a band breaking. -
Our resistance bands measure 1.20 meters (3.9 ft) and can stretch up to 6 to 7 times their original size, thanks to the use of high-quality natural latex. However, to maintain their durability, we recommend a maximum stretch of 4 times their initial size, which is 4.80 meters (15.7 ft) or 2.40 meters (7.9 ft) when folded. Therefore, our resistance bands cater to all users, regardless of height.
In fact, Lucas, the cofounder of SmartWorkout, stands at 1.90 meters (6.2 ft) and trains daily with our equipment: your height won't be a limiting factor.
For exercises that involve significant stretching, such as Squats or Overhead Presses, we advise extra caution:- Squat and Front Squat: Consider doing the exercise with feet close together to minimize excessive stretching or opt for unilateral lunges.
- Overhead Press: To reduce the stretch slightly, use a single foot to anchor the band instead of both feet.

Absolutely! Our resistance bands are designed to be effective for all heights, catering to a wide range of users.
Although, for shorter individuals, the bands may be slightly less stretched in exercises where feet block the bands (e.g., biceps curls, squats, or lunges), a slight adjustment in your stance will compensate for the reduced stretch, ensuring optimal resistance from the start of the movement.
For other exercises where external support is used to anchor the bands (door anchor, outdoor anchor), height does not affect the resistance and effectiveness of the bands.

To ensure the longevity of your resistance bands, it's essential to take proper care of them.
Over time, natural latex bands may oxidize, leading to white spots or color variations. This oxidation can be accelerated by extended exposure to external factors like humidity, wind, heat, cold, or simply the surrounding air.
Though it won't weaken the bands, we recommend storing them in the dedicated SmartWorkout bag after each use and keeping them indoors to minimize this effect.
If you want to clean and refresh the bands' color, you can use silicone oil.
THE BAR

We advise against using our resistance bar with other training bands as they may not be suitable for our equipment.
Most resistance bands come with small carabiners that are too weak to be used with our bar. In contrast, our resistance band set includes large, robust carabiners that attach to the non-deformable rings of our bands, ensuring maximum safety.
To fully enjoy the benefits of our bar for resistance bands and have an intense workout, it is recommended to use a relatively high resistance, which is not commonly found in the majority of band sets available on the market.
If you still wish to use your own resistance bands, ensure that the carabiners are properly closed and secured before each exercise. -
Absolutely no need to worry! The fact that the attachments at the ends of the bar are movable is completely normal.
This is an exclusive innovation on our part (featured in the latest version of our product), ensuring optimal movement fluidity while preventing any carabiner jams during specific exercises.
TRAINING WITH RESISTANCE BANDS

Absolutely! With the right equipment, resistance bands are highly effective for muscle building.
To achieve muscle growth, it's essential to apply ample resistance, creating micro-tears in the muscle fibers. This prompts the body to rebuild stronger and larger fibers, better equipped to handle future exertions.Numerous studies confirm that muscles respond similarly to resistance bands as they do to free weights, given comparable tension.
To achieve similar tension, you must:
- Employ substantial resistance and gradually increase it (progressive overload).
- Feel continuous resistance throughout the movement, increasing time under tension.

Progressive resistance refers to the varying resistance experienced during a movement. It's often associated with elastic bands: the more the band is stretched, the greater the resistance, unlike constant resistance with free weights.
Progressive resistance is a significant advantage of resistance bands as it aligns perfectly with the force curve of your movements. For instance, during a Biceps Curl, you will feel less resistance at the start - where your strength is lowest - and more resistance at the end - where your strength peaks. This allows for using higher loads while protecting your joints.
However, one potential drawback of progressive resistance is that the muscle may not remain under tension if the resistance is too low or your positioning is incorrect, which can hinder hypertrophy.
To overcome this, the fitness band must be stretched from the beginning to maintain tension throughout the exercise.
That's why our resistance tubes are designed to offer around 60% of their maximum intensity from the start, thanks to their resistance, composition, and size. As latex isn't an exact science, it's impossible to precisely replicate the resistance mentioned on the bands:
The felt resistance depends on how much the bands are stretched. Several factors can influence their stretch, such as the distance from the support (your height, feet positioning, door distance, etc.) or how the bands are wound.
Consequently, the resistance felt on the Overhead Press will differ from the Biceps Curl if the feet width is the same.
Generally, the indicated resistance on the bands is achieved when the band is stretched to four times its initial size (twice on each side). We recommend watching our exercise demonstration videos to achieve this stretch.
For the Deadlift and Row, as the band is wrapped around the bar, the felt resistance is 1.5 times the resistance indicated on the band.

Each session is a full-body workout primarily consisting of compound exercises. Perform each exercise for a single set until muscle failure.
The goal of the program is to build muscle quickly, in less than 20 minutes per day.
SmartGains Program:
- Comprehensive program designed for 9 weeks.
- Hypertrophy program: Push / Pull / Legs.
- 50 minutes per session, 5 sessions per week.
The number of sets and repetitions varies throughout the program: the initial weeks have a higher number of repetitions, while the later weeks focus more on strength with fewer repetitions.
The goal of the program is to maximize muscle volume over 9 weeks.
Strong & Beautiful Program:
- Comprehensive program designed for 6 weeks.
- Muscle strengthening program with a focus on legs and cardio.
- 50 minutes per session, 5 sessions per week.
